Hi,
This is my direct client opening for SQL DBA - New York, NY. This is a
12months contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. Candidates need to
interview in person and should be in the NY area.
*Responsibilities will include: *
• Design advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, scripts
• Maintain, modify, and optimize the Worksource1 SQL Server database
• Collaborate with applications developers on data modeling and E-R
diagrams
• Manage database performance, capacity, replication, backup and
security
• Work with external entities to facilitate data transfers
• Assist business analysts and end-users with reporting needs
*MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE *
-6 years or more experience installing, designing and managing MS SQL 2000,
2005 2008. (Be specific which year)
-Experience designing and implementing new MS SQL Server databases.
-Extensive experience writing advanced SQL queries and reporting services,
analyzing and optimizing queries and stored procedures and SSIS packages
-Experience supporting XML APIs
-Broad understanding of software development and web
technologies
-Highly proficient with report development in MS-Office Access, MS Excel and
Crystal Reports
-Perform multiple projects on small teams
-Creative problem solving
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
*Desirable Skill/Expertise*
-VBA, Access, PowerPoint and Excel.
-Programming skills in VB, VB.NET, ASP/ASP.NET, VBScript and JavaScript
and/or experience with automated performance testing a
plus.
