JOB TITLE >> SUN ONE LDAP 6.x Engineer LOCATION: South San Francisco, CA LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT >> 7 Months Rate : Open -- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES >> LDAP engineer, with SUN One LDAP 6.x, expertise is to design, implement and test a scalable and secure LDAP-based security infrastructure for the client. Engineer SUN One LDAP directory solutions for applications and evaluate LDAP-related technologies. Develop SUN One LDAP technology standards and directory synchronization processes. Document design, processes, and templates. Producing LDAP schema designs and operational plans for populating, maintaining, operating, deployment and enhancement of various forms of Enterprise Level Directories.. He or she will also provide engineering support for the existing SUN One LDAP implementation. The right candidate should be Proficient with common aspects of directory design (namespace, schema, security, topology, etc.) and be practiced in Schema Extension, Migration and Merging Strategies. The person will be expected to work on multiple SUN One-integration efforts, also be involved in the development and deployment of interfaces between the directory and source and target systems, and directory-enabled applications. This person will have a heavy influence over the design of these systems, so the ability to resolve conflicting goals of divergent groups is critical. Identity management experience is highly preferred. SKILLS >> 5+ years experience with SUN One LDAP and X.500 directory server implementations. Must experience with SUN One LDAP 6.x Experienced in Information Security Technologies and Industry best practices. Object level design practices in Java, C/C++, Perl, and/or other development environments. Experience in automating user account and group membership creation, excellent organization, communication, and analytic skills. Strong knowledge of single sign on authentication, J2EE 1.2 and up, SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and/or IBM DB2), Application Server (BEA WebLogic preferred). Proficiency with technologies used to programmatically access LDAP directories (JDNI, LDAP C SDK, ADSI).
