Study the source code of the IssueTrackerProduct (www.issuetrackerproduct.com) http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/issuetracker/IssueTrackerProduct/IssueTracker.py?rev=1.268&view=auto because it uses poplib to download and deal with attachments.
