Can we rip out the initializeBases* code on the trunk? Or do we need a deprecation period? Has anybody an idea where to add useful deprecation warnings?
If nobody here says he uses them, I'd say rip them out and don't bother with deprecation warnings. Seeing that we, core CMF developers, haven't really supported them for ages, continuing the illusion that they're maintained is useless.
