[Zope-dev] fsrecover in hot ?
Can fsrecover be launched in hot, or must I stop zope (or use it over a copy of Data.fs). Thanks, I will try to do more of these messages as I make/see changes like this in the trunk. I wonder where this information usually is dissiminated. I would imagine that zope-dev should be filled with information like this, but it very rarely is. I think it should be. I think very few people read the checkin messages, and they seldom contain big picture narrative anyhow. I think messages here should be sent when there are big picture impacts. It can act like informal historical documentation. Is information about Zope development only discussed orally at zope.com, or is attached as comments in the cvs, or where do you guys keep each other up to date about changes taking place? We have weekly jam sessions where we often hash out new ideas. Certainly the CVS is commented, but it is at quite a low level. I think we (ZC'ers) all know we can do a better job desseminating our ideas to the community. It really a question of bandwidth (or lack thereof). On the bright side, your message has inspired me to be a bit more of a narrator. It's always glad to hear when people actually read something I write and get something out of it. regards Max M -- Sorry I would Really Like To Help More On This Project, But Am To Busy Doing Paid Work On A Tight Deadline Max M Ain't it the truth ;^) -Casey ___ Zope-Dev maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev ** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** (Related lists - http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope )

RE: [Zope-dev] bug in RESPONSE.appendHeader
Glad to help. The error in the documentation string seems to have propagated to other locations. It appears in /lib/python/Products/OFSP/Response.py(line 130) and in the Zope Book http://www.zope.org/Documentation/ZopeBook/AppendixB.stx. Ok - I've fixed the help system .py file and added a comment to the book site so that this should get fixed for the next rev. Thanks! Brian Lloyd[EMAIL PROTECTED] V.P. A while ago I had my email client set up with a filter that hid most of the checkins list, except commits to doc/CHANGES.txt. That works reasonably well. Today, I read all the checkins list. [Zope-dev] 2nd Zope Instance
I appreciate the good advice I got here on starting a 2nd instance of Zope using a separate INSTANCE_HOME folder and a different HTTP port. That works great! Now I'm wondering where I can get a bare-bones copy of the data.fs file for the 2nd instance without having to re-install Zope using the Windows installer. (I got the 2nd instance working with a copy of my production data.fs, but I'd like to do my debugging with a stripped down database.) Also, I noticed in my production var folder that there are a lot of files named data.fs.tr0, data.fs.tr1, etc. Can I delete these? Thanks again for the help. [Zope-dev] Last-modified and bobobase_modification_time
Hi all, Say you have 1_html with only one line: dtml-var 2_html When you HEAD http://xxx/1_html, you get Last-Modified refelecting only the last modification time of 1_html, while most people is expecting it to be newer one of 1_html and 2_html. Does anyone know of a walk-around like using the max() of bobobase_modification_time().timeTime() on the document itself and all the componets it dtml-vared?
