I missed the festival this year but will be at the US Social Forum this
week -- www.ussf2010.org for info. A gigantio politico-culturo-alterno-fest
with over 1000 workshop sessions and a bunch of other stuff, mostly
at Cobo Hall and Wayne State. I've heard attendance estimates in
the 20-30,000
My gf is attending the conference as well, I'll be tagging along.
Also took a look at the flyer and it seemed like a bunch of NYC djs?
It's a shame as this would be a great event to showcase local talent.
If any of you know of any Techno going on wed/thurs please let me
know!

I don't know if it was a permanent installation but at least during
the festival TV Bar had an awe-inspiring clear and loud Cerwin Vega
sound system. I would go back to that bar in a heartbeat. Friendly
bartenders too.
