Well, from the reports I read all over the web, it seems most of the

I received it today and am listening to it right now, and it's
sounding amazing! Really long slow developing tune, halfway through
it these totally killer distorted keys come in in a sort of Theo

Proper madness! Pressed backwards too. I don't think this is

Indeed, this xtrak record is much better than most of his current
stuff. The Yore label sounds promising, bringing back some old school
producers into 2007. Next release is by Rick Wade and it sounds
wicked, samples up on wordandsound.net.

May sound cliche - I'm only 24 - but Convextion's Matrix 01 and the
original Hi-Tech Jazz 2x12 are probably my most cherished 313-
related records. They opened my mind to a whole new music spectrum
the first time I listened to them in the late 90s.

Am I the only one to be pissed when supposedly new records arrive in
the mail and then when you check them they're full of dust,
fingerprints and even scratches??
I think it's the second time this happens to me with Phonica. Five

underground both being excellent.

On Ghostly I think you may have it covered. Also check the Dabrye stuff
(on a downtempo/hiphop/electronic tip) and Lawrence's Spark EP for some
beautiful techno.
On Spectral, I'd rec Matthew Dear's EP 2, everything by James Cotton
(specially the Press your Body EP), The Vanisher's Tic-Tac
Diplo's 'Florida' LP is one of last year's best albums IMO. Everyone
into moody downtempo with Timbaland-ish beats, mixed with abstract
jazzy and cinematic tones and carefully manipulated sampling should
check it out. Seriously, words do no justice to some of those tracks.
And there is
wow! all the tracks sounding amazing. specially loving the first
sample, in a carl craig meets ron trent kind of way. :P
