Welcome to Hamburg, man - the city without any kind of reasonable
nightlife by 313 terms at all ;)
Asides, i forgot when i subscribed. Must be around 10 years or
something. And i write way too little. Shame on me.
recent lurker, since 2008 or so, but hey i'm 22 years old. first in
portugal
Still here, lurking for a few years now, subbed since uh 1998 or 99 I think.
Totally relate to what Kent wrote, in particular age a good night's sleep ;)
Having said that, dancing to great music and putting on parties still excites
me!!

so what's been floating everyone's boat recently, detroit or otherwise?
i been outta the loop but i've enjoyed flying lotus (tho not the newie
so much) and redshape, also dig the king midas sound remix album
'without you'. keen to hear anything deep, fonky, unusual, original,
creative. answers
I'm still hammering the Silent Harbour album on Echocord by Conforce all
day long. Doesn't wear off.
Techno-wise: Nihad Tule Bauri on Random Island (new-ish label by a
friend). There's a really dope IDM-ish remix coming along with two dark
and muffly bangers.
Terrence Dixon's Population
Speaking of Conforce, I really enjoyed this mix of his from a couple of
months back:

Still here. Great to hear what others are up to these days.
Please get some of these out. :)

I've only been here a year or two at most, most of that's been spent lurking.
Living in Nagoya, Japan and pretty healthy scene here, also the guys running
'Audi' @ Mago have had over Andres and Theo Parrish within the last few months.

another city holding a night called A TRIBUTE! drexciyan music all
night long like last September in Pudel. Besides, both Anthony Shakir
and Mike Huckaby have been constant guests here as well as other Chicago
djs. In 2 weeks

Well, there are certainly some good events every now and then.
Especially Pudel Golem are the places to watch out for. But the
majority of nightlife these days is powered by boring DJs at excellent
venues. Maybe i became a bit blind for what's going on but the scene has
seen much better days
Got to agree with that, I love Shed's work and the albums stand up to
repeated listening.
It sounds like I need to check Actress out - which album to start with? :-)

Thought I’d jump back in. Hope everyone’s well.

I def agree with you there. I do get frustrated most of the times but
still won't complain, could be much worse. It's a general worldwide
phenomena and I don't see things getting better in that sense, still I
find that being a rather small scene is what makes it special and I
wouldn't change
Here. Alive, so to speak. Metro D area, subbed around 97-ish?

Hell, no - i'd never change Hamburg for Berlin either. Never. NEVER! :)

I enjoyed my visit to hamburg very much and would probably pick it over Berlin
as far as a place to live. The Smallville guys are on point and would provide
enough of a scene for me through their shop and parties.

Anxiously awaiting a little box in the mail with that Hood 7.
Really enjoying Kate Simko's record on Leftroom with the Jem Cooke vocal.
Catchy little bouncy tune. Also digging the new Life Recorder on Aesthetic
Audio as well as the dubby Anton Mayer on Rawax and first Star Dub record.
on the list on and off since '97/'98 I think. Mainly lurking I guess. Made
the trip to Detroit back in 2001 and met a few folk. Like others have
mentioned, with family life etc I'm not so fussed about digging for tracks
or late nights. Not much happens out here in the Scottish Highlands anyway.
Nice set Ronny!

You know what, without that giant legal disclaimer at the bottom, I'd just
assume a priori that every word you wrote was the OFFICIAL VIEWS OF THE
BEEB.
I hate those disclaimers. Too many lawyers with time on their hands.

Still here lurking since late 90's. Haven't had the money to buy records
over last 10 years due to other commitments but thinking of reversing
that trend soon now I'm heading into middle age...
from slovenia here, lurking and checking mixes.

I really like Delano's LP on Sushitech. Hoods Night time world 3 is very
impressive and beautifully mastered and cut. Steve Tang has been making some
really nice deep techno on several labels including his own Emphasis imprint.
liking stuff by Anton Zap, Vakula, Joey Anderson, Fred P too.
