I was lucky to interview the late James Stinson of Drexciya over the phone
in December 2001 (so nervous that I called BMG for a pep talk before the
call). Aired the audio on my syndicated mixshow and published a text
feature on my Cognition Audioworks website. The audio is a challenge to
listen to at times. Stephen Rennicks (who has tirelessly run the Drexciya
Research Lab for 13+ years) uploaded the audio to YouTube. That and Liz
Copeland's interview formed the basis of the RA audio feature unleased in
Oct that lead to much discussion. If I ever find the OG audio file, have
offers to restore it with 2018 tech. Speaking of which, the text feature
published on my bare-bones site has just been given a much-needed refresh
17 years later by Thomas Venker at the German magazine Kaput:
