Re: Chicago crate digging etc.
Speaking of the green line you can take it to Oak Park a suburb of Chicago. There's Oak Park Records on Oak Park Avenue and South of it before the I290 there's one called Val's Halla On Fri, Jul 26, 2024, 7:03 PM Matt Dubspun wrote: > There's also a distributor called Groove Distribution and you can get > there by EL too not terribly far from Pilsen by train. There's also a distributor called Groove Distribution and you can get there by EL too not terribly far from Pilsen by train. It's a few blocks north of lake Street and you can get there by either Pink or Green line On Fri, Jul 26, 2024, 7:00 PM Matt Dubspun wrote: > It's in the Pilsen neighborhood and you can reach it from the Loop on the > Pink Line El 18th Street stop. It's in the Pilsen neighborhood and you can reach it from the Loop on the Pink Line El 18th Street stop. There's also a record store West of the stop and West of 606 Records is a vintage electronics store that also has vinyl called Shady Rest On Fri, Jul 26, 2024, 6:56 PM Matt Dubspun wrote: > 606 Records on 18th and Allport > > On Fri, Jul 26, 2024, 5:56 PM John Sokolowski > wrote: > >> Hey there! >> Signal Records in Logan Square on Diversey had quite a bit of house and >> techno the one time I went there. Hey there! Signal Records in Logan Square on Diversey had quite a bit of house and techno the one time I went there. They are somewhat new. They have a second location too I believe. There is also Hyde Park Records if you want to venture down to the south side. They would have mostly house over techno. Technotourist activities could include going to the site of the original Warehouse and the honorary Frankie Knuckles Way, and trying to find where the Muzic Box was :) Cheers!
