Hi, This might seem to be obvious but I don't think it's documented anywhere.
You need to have unicode mode on for expressions to be evaluated with 4D Write Pro. I've wasted several hours discovering this while working on a database (not mine) that has been converted to v15 and never had unicode mode switched on.
