the plugin would only work on the computer on which it was "brewed".
it is not what most 4D developers expect of a plugin which is installed inside
a database package.

the "proper" way, I guess, to distribute binaries on github is to use the
"release" feature,
but for all practical purposes I normally include the final product (plugin) as
well as all dependencies.
