2017-06-16 Thread Chuck Miller via 4D_Tech
Hi All, At one of my clients we will be running a mirror server and emergency server on windows VMs. It appears that the VMs have more than one IP address a public (172.18.17.xx and private 192.168.26.xx). Can someone advise if this will work and if so is there anything special I need to do.

For best performance, you'll need the 64-bit version of 4D Server, which on Mac will require the new network layer. Good luck with that... my last experience with v15R4 was that it was still very slow compared to the legacy network layer (supported by Windows 64-bit server and all 32-bit

Neil, Yes, we’ve been looking into the Mac Pro as an option to replace a stack of xServes. But the Mac Pro is end- 2013 without any updates. It’s getting long in the tooth and much of the price is for high-end graphics which don’t help one bit. We’ve read rumors of a modular Mac Pro for 2018.

Even better. With Match regex it takes about a second to remove a smaller number of characters ($text;32;126;9;13) from this file. However, when few characters are selected to remain in the result ($text;65;90;9;13), the time goes up into minutes; 8 compiled and 11 interpreted. I guess

Exporting/Importing Table Relations

Does anyone have any experience with exporting table relations and importing them into another structure? I am in the unfortunate situation where some of my relations got removed and trying to restore them by redrawing has produced inconsistent results. Thanks, Drew

Neil, Thanks for the reply. It’s a pity. With Apple having abandoned server hardware years ago, the only legal choice is Windows. What a shame for a non-Windows shop to have to support a Windows server just for that. That adds lots of cost and complexity. Paul > Le 16 juin 2017 à 15:33,
