SQL Select failure

2018-08-09 Thread Robert McKeever via 4D_Tech
I’m transferring data between two 4D server systems. One table contains Lab
reports which are formatted from a block of HL7. The records contain the raw
HL7 and a 4D Write letter which is the lab report. There could, instead, be a
PDF report in a blob.

There is also a table of consult letters that the clinic creates - all 4D Write.

For one patient, there are 20 clinic letters and three lab reports.

The letters come first, and they come across just fine.

The LabReports first display a ‘getting data’ window, it processes for a while,
then it fails.

How do I make it work?

Mojave and v15 / v16

2018-08-09 Thread Paul Lovejoy via 4D_Tech
Hi,

Has anyone been able to do any testing with the Mojave beta and v15/v16 in 32
bit mode?

I’d appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

Paul

Re: V17 and Edit menu (Copy)

2018-08-09 Thread Keith Culotta via 4D_Tech
I just had an instance (v17 Mac) where "command C" and "command V" to copy and
paste some form objects between two forms had no effect. It worked when I used
the menus with the mouse. That also seems to have cured the problem. This
happens on such rare occasions that I've been blaming my keyboard (which hasn't
had this problem in other apps).

RE: OFF - Reconditioning SSD Drives

2018-08-09 Thread Timothy Penner via 4D_Tech
I can't speak to the reliability of TRIM on mac, but I know it works great on
Windows (and automatically).

It looks like you should be able to determine if the drive supports TRIM from
the System Report (about my mac):

Thanks Tim,

On the next system maintenance I'll look into the Samsung software.
I'm seeing mixed reports about TRIM on the Mac - everything from: "it does not
work on external SSDs" to a command line 'trimforce' which has a disclaimer to
not use it on production machines as it may cause data loss. This is an excerpt
from my terminal command line with I attempt to use the trimforce command:

"IMPORTANT NOTICE: This tool force-enables TRIM for all relevant attached
devices, even though such devices may not have been validated for data
integrity while using TRIM. Use of this tool to enable TRIM may result in
unintended data loss or data corruption. It should not be used in a commercial
operating environment or with important data. Before using this tool, you
should back up all of your data and regularly back up data while TRIM is
enabled. This tool is provided on an “as is” basis. APPLE MAKES NO WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
REGARDING THIS TOOL OR ITS USE ALONE OR IN COMBINATION WITH YOUR DEVICES,
SYSTEMS, OR SERVICES. BY USING THIS TOOL TO ENABLE TRIM, YOU AGREE THAT, TO THE
EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, USE OF THE TOOL IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND
THAT THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO SATISFACTORY QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, ACCURACY AND
EFFORT IS WITH YOU."

I'm hesitant to try it in a production environment unless others have had a
good experience with it.

V17 and Edit menu (Copy)

2018-08-09 Thread Jeffrey Kain via 4D_Tech
Is anyone else experiencing a problem in 4D v17 on Mac where the Copy menu item
in the Edit menu becomes disabled permanently until a restart of 4D?
