Re: Static Pictures to Library Pictures

2019-06-04 Thread Lee Hinde via 4D_Tech
I recently used this to fix some string resource issues. It's a v12
database, apparently, but I opened it in a later version without issue:

Re: Static Pictures to Library Pictures

2019-06-04 Thread Chuck Miller via 4D_Tech
If you had gone to one of 4D’s road shows, JPR had a db that would do this for
you. Perhaps you can request it from 4D. You still have to load each form but
it is pretty seamless.

Static Pictures to Library Pictures

2019-06-04 Thread Ben Sokal via 4D_Tech
We are finally moving to v17 and need to fix all our static PICT images. From
previous posts and from the 4D knowledge base I understand how to convert
library images by looping through them and running the conversion code. But the
problem is we have over 1100+ static PICT images that aren't in the library.
The MSC has identified these images but that's only somewhat helpful since that
still means we have to go to every object on hundreds of forms, and change the
properties from STATIC PICTURE to LIBRARY PICTURE. I can spend week(s) doing
this but...maybe someone has found a more efficient way to handle bad static
images that aren't in the picture library?

Open in server and open wil sql. You might be able to get table and field
definitions from 4Ds tables

Tips on reading email from gmail?

2019-06-04 Thread Kirk Brooks via 4D_Tech
Hi folks,
I know I've seen this subject passing by but can't seem to find it when I
need it. So, is anyone willing to share some tips about reading email in a
gmail account? Specifically I want to use IMAP.

Thanks

4d-component-sendmail issue

2019-06-04 Thread macjimbo via 4D_Tech
Unsure if anyone on here uses 4d-component-sendmail? I've found it works well
but have an issue when sending an attachment.

At the receiving end, the attachment appears without a hitch on a desktop
client like Apple Mail, but on a mobile iOS device there is no sign of the
attachment at all. It just isn't there.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on 4D v15.6 and it happens interpreted
and compiled, on Mac.

TIA

James

Ooops. Sorry. Copy and pasting is not always the best way to do things. Thanks
for pointing that out.

John, thanks very much; I shall investigate. One point: unless I’m missing
something (not unusual) it’s not zipcodeapi.com (your
first link) which has UK codes, but zippopotam.us (your
second).
