Call form vs form page

I’m not sure if it’s something I am doing wrong, but regardless what page is actually being displayed FORM Get current page called in the call form method always returns 1. Other things break as well like OBJECT Get pointer if the object is not on page 1. Is this a bug or expected behavior?
