Getting back to interpreted mode

2017-08-23 Thread Doug Cottrill via 4D_Tech
Hi all, I’m in v15.3 on Windows 10. I just set my structure to run compiled to do some testing, but now I can’t get it back into interpreted mode. I have a menu bar command to take me back to User Mode, but in THIS structure, it does not switch the menu bar to give the run menu with the

Type Ahead in Array Listbox Cell

2019-04-11 Thread Doug Cottrill via 4D_Tech
Hi all, I’m trying to implement a type-ahead feature in an array listbox cell. I have this functionality in a form variable, and it works great- when the user types, code in the on after edit finds the first record value in a field that matches the first few characters, fills in the rest, and

Chip, I can’t say for sure why it’s happening- it frankly sounds like a bug. However, I may have a possible workaround- Explicitly type the listbox with ARRAY LONGINT(myListboxName;0) My suspicion is that the compiler just defaults to a data type of ARRAY REAL when it runs into a numeric

One other thought- is there an Array Real with the same name as your listbox somewhere else in your DB? DKC > On Apr 24, 2019, at 10:53 AM, Doug Cottrill via 4D_Tech > <4d_tech@lists.4d.com> wrote: > > Chip, > > I can’t say for sure why it’s happening- it f

Pat, There are arrays for font color and font background color in the property list that 4D uses for the listbox if they exist. DKC > On May 1, 2019, at 4:58 AM, Pat Bensky via 4D_Tech <4d_tech@lists.4d.com> > wrote: > > I can find plenty of info about setting the row font colour for a >

I don’t think you will be able to synchronize the field order. Once a field is created, the field number is set. You can drag the field to a different place in the table so it presents in a logical order, but the underlying field number will not change, even if you delete a field. I think

Hi all, I would like to automatically print an external document (specifically a PDF) from within 4D on Windows 10. The process would be: 1) Find the PDF to print (I know the name and location of this doc programmatically) 2) Open the PDF in Acrobat Reader 3) Tell reader to print the PDF 4)
