I finally found a spare couple of minutes to give this a poke. It seems
to be working fine, but just responded with a blank 403 - forbidden on
any errors processing the login. Was that what you were getting?
I've put in some stuff to spit out a message of what went wrong with the
403 now - if anyone gets one of those that they don't think they should
have: let me know what the message was and I'll have another look.
