All -
I am running "latest and greatest" 9front file/auth/CPU server on an HP/Compaq
NW8440 laptop.
It is set up to multiboot along with CentOS Linux. Linux runs, but after a
short time, the machine will power down without warning.
Running Linux, it does not do this. It will run for days or wee
try running memtest for half a day, and then try saturating CPU in
linux and see if it runs stable there at least.
might be due to 9front not doing any power management at all. maybe theres
even a watchdog set by the bios to shut the machine down after some time
if acpi hasnt been taken over by the OS to prevent it from melting down
spinning at the bios prompt (bios doesnt do interrupts, so they poll
everything
