I would like to share some interesting info of Kasumi implementation on Third
Generation Phones.

Check DOCUMENT 2.
The new attack speed up the decoding process, it is a practical attack (compare
to previous 2005 attack).
Hi,
Sorry for my late reply, as it is Christmas!! and i have a family meeting.
The presentation is 100% original, and the eprint of the full/complete attack
details will be publish soon.(Check http://eprint.iacr.org/)
I have more than 150 emails to reply, as i am part of the cryto scene, and i
What is meant by a plaintext sample is not said in the presentation,
but i assume it is at least a 64bit block.
that 2^29 bytes and way longer than any actual conversation.
so for 3g networks where known plaintext comes in the form of low
bandwidth control channels it is not a practical attack, ass
2^26 is a very low figure . it means a couple of seconds of a conversation ,
if we have already determined there is enough known plain text there
i think the attack they have presented is focused on Kasumi itself , not the
way its used in 3G based networks . the description they used is very

2^26 known plaintext samples is still way to much.
but already a huge improvement over the 2005 attack that
required 2^54 chosen plaintexts. So it is still irrelevant in
practice. Then some slides about how Kasumi works.

Hi,
it's not true. javier falbo has already sent me
this presentation and it looks quite authentically.
The authors of this presentation are Orr Dunkelman, Nathan Keller and Adi
Shamir (all famous cryptographers).
I would like to share this presentation, but I'm still not sure, if it is
already pu
I heard it was a fake, the guy just wanted to get names/info about people...
