You'll probably need to create/get hold of a custom control (in C/C++) to handle midi
devices beyond what the semi-functional VB API gives you.

Let's not make abc more complicated than needed.
If you're writing for instance a bass part, just change the L: field for
that voice if you find you're repeating too many [C,,8G,,8E,8]
