So strange. I've never met Laurie, and now I never will.
We've corresponded for years, on and off this list - about
music, abc, programming, physics...
I've no idea what he looked like, even.
And I'm astonished by my own sense of shock and sadness.
He will be missed.

regular contributers - i.e. the people with *something to say* - an
immediate sort of affinity develops; to the point that, even when one

Well, basically black metal is just Norwegian traditional music played
very loud on fuzz guitars, and my British folk music arrangements are
far more influenced by Norwegian
