creating a bug report in Bugzilla with exact steps to reproduce and the
two sample documents could be a good approach here.

Can you please give a detailed step-by-step description of how to
reproduce the issue, ideally starting from an empty document (or
alternatively, providing a sample document, ideally in Bugzilla,
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/ ).

Thank your for providing more information (in private email exchange).

I can reproduce now, and have created the following bug report in
Bugzilla to keep track of this:

[libreoffice-accessibility] libre office

2025-03-12 Thread Simon Wong

Does not matter what version of jaws, when opening a libre office document with
a table it will either say nothing when arrowing through or it will repeat
whatever line it goes to such as lunch or supper. Is anyone experiencing this
problem and what can i do about this. . I end up using open office with nvda

My personal experience with JAWS/Vispero support in recent years was a
completely different one.

An issue I reported there was fixed in a later JAWS version, and I even
had a JAWS developer reaching out to me to work together on another
issue they ran into with LibreOffice, and offering I could reach out to
them if there was anything else.

So if there are particular issues when using LibreOffice with JAWS,
having clear bug reports (ideally in Bugzilla, or otherwise, here) would
be great so the underlying issues can be analyzed.

So far, I am unable to reproduce this with LibreOffice 25.2.1.

When I have one cell that has "lunch" as text and another one that has
"supper", the actual content is announced when I switch between those
cells in my tests with LibreOffice 25.2.1 and JAWS 2025.2412.102 in a
Windows 11 VM, both in Writer and in Calc.

Version: 25.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d3abf4aee5fd705e4a92bba33a32f40bc4e56f49
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render:
Skia/Raster; VCL: win

Locale: en-US (en_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

Until that venture capital group legally prohibits the NVDA developers
from working on NVDA, that is is going to be your only viable option.
