Subject: [AI] Bank debit and credit card accessibility
Dear List
Which accessibility features in the debit and credit card (physical one) will
help us as a visually impaired person to distinguish different types of card
H Prashant,
Since you asked for physical card, identification should be by touch
and without use of any mobile technology. Additionally, the solution
should be usable by both those who kno braille and by those who do
not. So, I propose the following.
1. For debit card (which is most prominent
Think something has to be done about the POS machines, many these days
are coming with a touchscreen and no accessibility features.

hi prashant,
we could have a huge scannable barcode embosed, like round on debit
card and square on credit card, if one scann the barcode, it will
tell, "union bank of india credit card" or union bank of india debit
card".
there might be security implications, thats i wrote, it should only
tell
I think bank should print few letters in braille like UBI DC or UBI CC
Here UBI for Union Bank of India and DC for Debit Card and CC for
Credit Card. Similarly SBI DC for State Bank of India Debit Card and
SBI CC for State bank of india Credit Card.

Dear List
Which accessibility features in the debit and credit card (physical one)
will help us as a visually impaired person to distinguish different types
of cards, different bank cards and for ease of access to ATM or POS or
other channels?
Thanks and regards,
