Just summarizing her talk as below.

Kalpana Madam is a late blind person. At the age of 13 she was diagnosed
with RP and then she became totally blind. She did her schooling in Marathi
medium and did her D.Ed. In the year 1979 she went to Russia for the eye
treatment. In Russia she completed M.A. (Education) with excellent grade.
In the year 1991 she achieved Ph.D in Education. There her medium of
education was Russian so she learned Russian language with command. She
returned to India as her treatment was not successful and became lecturer
in K.J. Somaiya College of Education, Training and Research, Mumbai. She is
famous as an excellent teacher in her college and taken up much research
work. In 2006 she became the Vice Principal of the college. In 2013 she
received state level “Best Employee” award by Ministry of Social Justice
and Empowerment, Maharashtra State. She is the one who has developed
modules and research papers on teaching science and maths to blind
students. Her hardwork, dedication and positivity helped her to overcome
many many struggles in the job and day to day life. She is a great
motivational speaker and a charming personality. Her father who was a
clerk in the postal department dreamed to take his daughter to Russia for
RP treatment and for that he left everything for her betterment. Although
her treatment failed and in Russia the family faced very difficult
situation Kalpana madam made sure not to let her father aspirations down. She
completed her PH.D there and today she is a very successful academician and
researcher. Her father was with her when she received best employee award
in 2013. He was having great feelings for his daughter who achieved so much
and made things happened what he dreamed and scarified for.

Best
