Dear All, Greetings from NPdO, We are happy to share with you that the Honorable High court of Andhrapradesh has given the Judgment In favor of 3% budget allocation in all Departments for the empowerment of the Persons with Disabilities as per the GO Ms No1, 24 of Government Of A.P, PWDs Act 1995, UNCRPD, Planning Commission Mandates which will impact the lives of the PWDs across the State. The High Court ordered the Andhrapradesh state government without any further delay and necessary budget allocation shall be made. . We are thanking all the DPOs, CBOs, NGOs, Community activists provided information us in filing the PIL, we are also requesting the DPOs to demand the officials at all levels for the 3% budget allocation out of nearly 1.5 lak core budget of the state. NPdO is in the process of taking up campaigns at grassroots of Andhrapradesh on this judgment of 3% budget allocation with collaboration of rights based like minded DPOs,/CBOs and human rights activists.
