I have mentioned this before but simple adaptations can enable VI to
play many mainstream games.
For eg. I was surprised when my friend gifted me a cube with Braille
dots on it. There were dots riposted using glass liner tube.

I am a mother of a 12 year old visually impaired child.
I am really keen to make some games for the community which you would really
love to play by yourself and with each other.

I am unsure as to what I could personally suggest you, but you may
want to get involved in Audazzle's works (www.audazzle.com). This is a
fairly recent company which had a similar background and mission, a
visually impaired child, games that both sighted and visually impaired
