If you think Olympics is over, then you are wrong. Rio Paralympics starts from 7th September and gives you another chance to cheer for your athletes. This time around India has sent its largest contingent ever (17 members) to Paralympics. Every year on the 28th August we at CWF conduct a unique walk, a first of its kind initiative in the world celebrating the cause of Paralympics and disability sports at large. The primary agenda of the walk is to make the masses aware of the sports, the athletes' struggle and the need for inclusiveness. This walk is not a protest march but a carnival like show of solidarity from people of all walks of life, be it disabled athletes, students, achievers at large, etc walk to champion the cause of Paralympics and sports for the disabled. The walk creates a visual wonder where the para athletes participate wearing their medals- a specter that provides inspiration to many. The theme of the Walk this year is Rio Paralympics. Our objective is to create awareness about the games and put Paralympics on the map. Come out in huge number, show your support, bring your banners and cheer for these athletes.*Change doesn't come in a day, but it has to start some day. * We cordially invite you to this flagship event of Civilian Welfare Foundation.
