I no longer use Excel 2010 and am writing from memory. In the options dialogue
under the advanced tab, there is an option called something like "edit directly
in cell". Toggle it and check if it helps.

While using NVDA and JAWS 19 with Microsoft Excel 2010, I am facing a
common problem i.e. both the talking software are not speaking out the
