1. Use an Excel sheet like a Taylor frame.
2. As for equations yes they are a challenge. I used to do them in a text editor
using linear notation. Go term by term.
3. What kind of calculations are we talking about?

My son cleared 12th CBSE last year with Maths. CBSE does not allow use of
calculator but Log book is allowed. Computer has function of Insert
equation, maybe that could be helpful.
Anything specific you can ask... maybe my son can help.

Just need the details of the people who had taken maths in their class 10th
. My son is doing great in science and is in class 8th but is facing
challenge in maths . I need to fix that so request all to please share the
