dear intelectuals in access indians, first of all i would like to know
whether there is a difference between HANDICAP and DISABILITY. i seak
only to know the meaning of the practical use of the term and not
otherwise. secondly, i read one of our friend saying that blindness is
or should not be treated as a disability. itruly agree with that view.
but i would also like all of us to remembeer that the self
independancy which only a few percentage of visually challenged are
enjoying is depraived to many. more over there is nothing wrong in
treating blindness as a disability because afterall it is not a
weakness or curse rather it is only a different creation unique in
itself just like other creations. a humble request to all our learned
access indians is that let us all do some concrete and fruitfull
activities which would elevate all our friends who are still
struggling for their survival. this conference should also finally
fructify in to some concrete social oriented action. if i have told
something wrongly, please enlighten me. i welcome all your meaningful
and thought provoking comments. regards raghu.
