Rajesh,

There is no easy answer to this. Time for some shameless self-promotion but I am
one of the instructors at http://www.cavitraining.com in the Microsoft word

Otherwise, what are the things you need to do? If you ask specific questions, I

Hi,

If that were the case, there would be no innovation at all. there is never
something inherently wrong with a technology that makes it outdated; it's always
that new features come up that make it outdated.
Having worked at Microsoft for a bit, and having gone through their design
specs, I can tell you that consistency in UI is one of the important
considerations while proposing a new product or UI design.
However, often, changes in functionalities necessitate new designs.
It's a matter of striking that balance. Office 2007 provides a whole lot of new
features compared to the 2003 version, and the ribbon design just makes it
easier visually to work with these options based on several UI tests and studies
conducted by Msft. Also, remember, visually impaired community is not the only
community that tech companies need to look out for. I'm not saying that they
shouldn't carefully consider our needs, however it's not right on our part to
expect that this will or should be the only consideration for them. As long as
they provide sutable accessibility options, I don't see why we should be unhappy
with a company.

Oh, and in Office 2016 (might be available in previous versions of Office too,
I'm just not sure), there is a powerful search option, so you don't even have to
navigate through the menus.

Best,
-Kartik

 Shyam,

Why are you drawing tables? You can specify the number of rows and
 columns

 and
have word create the table for you. If you are using the ribbons,
 do the following.
 1. Navigate to the insert tab.
 2. Press tab to go to the lower ribbon. This is where you find the
 options

 under
 the insert tab.

I am not sure. Jaws 17 has it for sure. Stay away from the feature. Use regular
ribbons.

Dear Sir,

I also tried to download javascript tutorials as PDF but unable to. The
functionality yet to be added it seems.
Actually, a small book better than being online always. Unfortunately, I
don't have a book for beginners. I'll send VBA book on the email which you
have provided in this mail trail.

Re: [AI] a happy news to share

2016-03-22 Thread Amar Jain
Hi Suhas,

Well done! Quite happy to see your attitude to improve on the issues
which you will be facing.

I'm unaware whether you have studied through audio books mostly or you
have studied in a blind school in which English as a language was not
given importance. Anyways, here is what I can share:

1. For spellings, use proofing tools of Microsoft Word, although
exercise care while choosing the right suggestions.

2. For grammar, the more you read and the more you write, you'll get
better at it. Another helpful tip is to go through basic sentence
construction norms once again. Read newspapers like Livemint, The
Hindu, Business-Standard, among others.

3. Keep punctuation set to all in your screen reader, so that you get
to learn appropriate usage of punctuation marks as you read.

4. Read about formatting, learn about spacing in documents and
e-mails. If RBI has document support executives, then make them your
best friends and learn as you go. Justified text, bold, underlining,
highlighting, are some of the important attributes you will need to
use on a day to day basis. Learn about screen reader formatting
specific commands, they are extremely useful if you want to understand
how documents are formatted.

5. Spelling construction rules also help many individuals, so you may
want to read about them. Check with NAB Mumbai if they will have
Rapidax latest recording.

It takes time, extra efforts on your part and some level of
understanding from the people with whom you will be working with to
get to a level which you are required to possess in this role.

All the best!

Amar Jain.

Dear Nitin
Yes, the site is really a good resource of various tutorials.
However, when I tried to download a tutorial as a whole instead of going page
by page, by pressing enter on pdf button or quick guide button nothing
happened.
Any experiences?

Would be greatful if you could share the book on

the site works well with Jaws too. I don't know how much time your student
