Re: [AI] interesting collection of activities in delhi

2017-07-17 Thread Leikhu Laishram Leingakpa
Dear all
Is there any Braille press which prints Braille books on individual
demand in small quantity, three or four copies?
I came across about such an organisation last year in this mailing
list. But unfortunately I didn't save the information and now can't
find the same in the thread archive too.
Looking for some authentic information.

Warmly
Leikhu Laishram

Re: [AI] University books in Sugamya Pustakalaya

2017-07-17 Thread Dipendra Manocha
This is a good idea. We can set-up some key subject committees in DFI or
Saksham so that we can prepare list of books that are ore relevant and are
not available from any of the current resources.

Any college subject teachers interested to contribute for the same may
please write to libr...@saksham.org.

Thanks
Dipendra

Dear Sir, Really wonderful effort. I saw the list and found not only new
titles but many essential classics also. As a teacher I have seen that many
of the books mentioned in the syllabus are not of much relevance. So better
if some of us can suggest Saksham to prepare a priority list. For example, I
can tell you about the papers I teach or have taught earlier. We can ask the
teachers to suggest two or three titles which are essential. Specific
readings will follow thereafter.
Thanks

Re: [AI] interesting collection of activities in delhi

2017-07-17 Thread Dipendra Manocha
Hello Mohit

Chess: BRA and NAB Delhi have well-coordinated and structured efforts to
develop chess playing skills. Other institutions too are making such efforts
that I am not directly connected with. North Zone competition is expected to
take place in October this year in Delhi.

Sports: IBSA and BRA take lead here and have several sporting activities for
persons with blindness.

Online national library is Sugamya Pustakalaya.

Thanks
Dipendra

The background music is quite loud in this video.
