This had happened with me on last Friday. I wanted to book the ticket in HP quota in dadar shirdi super fast train. There were 2 seats available in sleeper class. The booking clirck confirmed us before proceeding with booking. But as soon as she confirmed our booking. The 1 seat got confirmed. And my escort passenger got the general waiting list. However, the name of the quota was mentioned after the waiting list number as HP. E.g., passenger 2, gnwl 72 / quota HP. We cancelled the ticket and the sad part is, despite cancelling it, the 2 seats were not released to other disabled passenger. Still it shows, 'not available' as status.
