Hi All. Lesser said about recognition of coins the better. Size of coins is reduced in last 3-4 years to a great extend. Old 50 Paisa coin & recently introduced Rs 1 coin are same in size. Old Rs 1 coin & recently introduced Rs 2 coins are almost same in size. So even for sighted person becomes difficult to recognize them. Govt. is changing size of coins & notes every few year without reason other than may be stop counterfeit notes from circulation. But it is creating confusion in common mans mind. Someone should take this matter with Govt.

But it was really tedeous to do as first you got to put the note on the device, make sure it is aligned correctly on it and then take a deep breath to confirm the amount. If you have to pay in change of 10's you can mostly use logic of the size and get by otherwise the notex is an hand and mind exercise in it's own... Being a late blind, I take my own sweet time in paying for what ever I buy on the go. People see me fumble with the notes and sometimes call out the currency in my hand to make things easier. Not fool proof but hey, that is as good as it gets.
