Subject: {Disability Studies India} Violation of Disability Reservation in JNU
To: disability-studies-in...@googlegroups.com

Since 2014, JNU has recruited only six assistant professors (all male) (4
PH-OH, 2 PH-HH, 0 PH-VH) under Persons with Disabilities category. This
is such a gross violation of disability reservation by the JNU
administration.

In the Mphil/PhD admissions too, only 76 candidates (60 Male, 16 Female)
have been selected across all departments in the last four years from the
total 5000 seats (approx). School of International Studies had selected
only 14 candidates (13 Male, 1 female) from PwD category in the last four
years, out of the total 700 seats (approx) offered. The data has been
collected through RTI.....

If one looks at the centre wise implementation of disability reservation,
the situation is appalling, many schools and centres have not even bothered
to offer a single seat for PwD category......
