Apple Watch is fully accessible to start with. But most things that watch can do can be done by the iPhone also. If you are a fitness freak or want to keep a very close on your body movement and health then you will benefit from some of the additional features of Apple Watch. Personally I felt that I need to give more time to take advantage of the additional features and I decided not to spend that time on it on a daily basis. I am currently using the Apple Watch as a simple watch for my low vision as it has big and bright watch face. I occasionally use it to receive and make calls when I am not near my mobile phone or when it is charging. The thing I dislike most is that you will need to charge the watch daily and its charger is different. You will need to carry a separate cable everywhere. As per my friend's experiences, apple watch has better features and accessibility to visually impaired users. But, pairing with all devises and working perfectly is the biggest issue along with pricing issue. I am using samsung watch4 along with samsung phone and watch is good as reporting our health record is concern. If you give as gift, i feel to know the phone, which they are using and gift the compatible watch accordingly.
