Vol 5, No 1 (2014) Abstract Sarthak is a small non-profit organization in India that works towards generating employment opportunities for the disabled in some parts of India. The case describes the genesis and evolution of Sarthak to a critical juncture where it must select a future strategy that would enable its growth across the country. The choices vary from staying local to grow its service offerings to reach more disabled people or to spread across the country with its most successful services, organically or using a franchise model. The case can be used for teaching challenges facing an entrepreneurial social venture in an emerging markets context to strategy for growth of a non-profit organization.
