Dear Public Sector Employees in Delhi It is an undocumented reality that many hired employees with disabilities had to undergo humiliating interview sessions which they keep sharing in person. And sadly hardly any field-work research exists which has documented experiences of persons with disabilities experience at the workplace in Delhi (Capital of India) . Low-expectation of employers, negative biased attitude, Less-social interaction at the workplace further accentuates their self-notion of exclusion from the mainstream and obstructs their social inclusion. Non-existent homophile network of disabled employees further reduces their chances of permotion and pay-hikes.
Can you help me in collating your experiences at the workplace, please? Public Sector HR managers need to be made aware/sensitized about their priorities/responsibilities while hiring persons with disabilities.. You can directly E-mail your responses to my E-mail address (shahi88avin...@gmail.com) your personal data will be strictly kept secret and this survey is purely done for academic purpose. But if paper gets published things can change. Information required 1. Name: 2. Gender 3. Age 4. Work-profile 5. Employer 6. Type of disability 7. Experience during interview If any unpleasant question was asked, please mention 8. Your expectation from employer to accommodate your special needs 9. Behaviour of non-disabled colleagues at the workplace 10. Work-satisfaction or not Note: many employees have been contected via phones and visits so there is an honest attempt to record data from internet users/non-users in an equal proportion from different work-profiles. I earnestly hope employees in Delhi will help me in conducting this survey. Please respond latest by 15 June 2014.
