Anirudh, It may take more time for you to understand the stuff and slightly longer to find a suitable opportunity but it is definitely doable. Post the completion of your course, you may not be able to streight away start with a big company i.e. Accenture/ MS/ Google but once you have some experience, it would hold greater value than a so-called maths/ statistics degree. I have read the advertisements of the courses where they accept students from any combination to data science including humanities. However, I am afraid to take those courses because of the accessibility concerns.
