Turab,
A cane with a roller tip works nicely but it gives you too much feedback on
rough surfaces like your average Indian road. You feel every bump which may or
may not be a good thing. You get used to it and a I prefer using a cane with a
roller tip because I do not need to lift it when I swing the cane in an arc.
As for sources of procurement, first check with http://www.saksham.org and then
based on feedback go from there. I mention Saksham because they may have already
sourced some of these canes.
