NEWS: Monthly Reminder (November 2011)

Posted 01 Nov 2011
This message tells you how to use accmail`AT`listserv.aol.com
the mailing list discussing 'Accessing the Internet via Email'.

 1. Purpose
 2. Conventions
 3. The ACCMAIL FAQ: a guide to offline internet access
 4. Posting to ACCMAIL: language
 5. Posting to ACCMAIL: subject lines
 6. Posting to ACCMAIL: off-topic
 7. Posting to ACCMAIL: netiquette
 8. Receiving ACCMAIL: digest and single postings
 9. ACCMAIL topics
10. ACCMAIL archives and search

==
1. PURPOSE

This list exists as a forum for communicating news, comments and
questions about email-only methods of accessing the Internet.

This is the place to find out about new versions, ask questions
about the current version, make suggestions for additions/deletions,
etc.

ACCMAIL is a moderated list, which means that all postings will be
sent to a human for review before being posted to the list.

==
2. CONVENTIONS

In this file, we have replaced the normal email @ character with the
string `AT`. To use any email address, simply replace `AT` with @ to
form a proper email address.

==
3. THE ACCMAIL FAQ: A GUIDE TO OFFLINE INTERNET ACCESS

In August 2003, after many years dedicated service to the ACCMAIL
community, Mr Gerald Boyd retired as maintainer of the ACCMAIL FAQ,
and unfortunately died in May the following year.

The most recent version (10.2) of the FAQ was published in April 2002,
and is now *very* out of date.

==
4. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: LANGUAGE

The language of the list is international English. Don't worry if
you think your English is not very good -- and don't apologise --
MOST subscribers use English as a foreign or second language.

==
5. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: SUBJECT LINES

Mail should have a meaningful subject heading which reflects the
content of the message -- it helps others to find messages of
interest (and is necessary if you receive a lot of messages per
day), and it helps to follow a thread on a particular topic.

==
6. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: OFF-TOPIC

Make sure your post isn't off-topic. In particular, this mailing
list does NOT deal with topics like:
 - General use of your computer.
 - Where do I get this or that software -- instead ask how to
   retrieve it via email.
 - Where do I find information on ??? -- instead ask how do I find
   information concerning ??? via email.
 - Windows problems -- instead ask where do I find information
   regarding a problem (email address, mailing list, web page, etc.)

==
7. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: NETIQUETTE

* DON'T include the entire contents of a previous posting in your
  reply.

* DO cut mercilessly. Leave just enough to indicate what you're
  responding to. NEVER include mail headers except maybe the 'From:'
  line. If you can't figure out how to delete lines in your mailer
  software, paraphrase or type the quoted text.

* DON'T SEND A MESSAGE IN ALL CAPS. CAPITALIZED MESSAGES ARE HARDER
  TO READ THAN LOWER CASE OR MIXED CASE.

* DO use normal capitalization. Separate your paragraphs with blank
  lines. Make your message inviting to your potential readers.

* DON'T send messages with HTML coding or MIME extensions.

* DO learn how to change your email program so that it sends only
  plain text to the list.

* Remember that people with whom you communicate are located across
  the world. If you send a message to which you want an immediate
  response, the person receiving it might be at home asleep when it
  arrives. Give them a chance to wake up, come to work, and login
  before assuming the mail didn't arrive or that they don't care.

* In general, most people who use the Internet don't have time to
  answer general questions about the Internet and its workings.
  Don't send unsolicited mail asking for information to people whose
  names you might have seen on mailing lists.

* ACCMail messages may be archived on websites that are vulnerable
  to spambots and other email harvesters. The AOL listserv archive
  is protected, but we do not know where else the messages might
  appear. When posting or replying to the list, we strongly advise
  you to munge all email addresses you mention in the text of your
  message, especially if they are not yours. For example, instead of
  typing an email address as 'u...@domain.com', type it like one of
  the following:
user#domain.com
user()domain.com
user AT domain DOT com
  Spambots will not see an email address, but human readers will
  know what you mean. Don't munge email addresses

Reminder - this list is closing

2011-10-27 Thread sun zoom spark
Hello accmailers ...

Here is a reminder of what is happening.

ACCMAIL CLOSING

AOL will close this list at midnight on Monday 31
October 2011.

ACCMAIL ARCHIVES
-

The ACCMAIL archives since January 2002 are in two
locations

1) http://news.gmane.org/gmane.mail.emailonly
2) http://www.mail-archive.com/accmail%40listserv.aol.com/

There are no archives for the period 1994 to 2001.

REPLACEMENT LIST
-

I am the moderator and 'owner' of this ACCMAIL list, but
I shall retire when the list closes. If anyone has plans
for a replacement, I suggest they inform this list
before it closes.

CONTACT FROM 1 NOVEMBER UNTIL 31 JANUARY
-

I have created an email address for contact after
ACCMAIL closes: accmail-legacy`AT`szs.net

Send an email to that address if you would like to be
contacted about similar lists that might be created
after this list closes.

Send an email to that address if you start a new list.

I will keep your contact details for three months, until
the end of January 2012. After that, I will delete your
contact details and the legacy address itself.

:-)

Re: AOL Listserv to be Discontinued

2011-10-21 Thread Arno Schuh

Hi,

you did a great job to keep this list alive. So my vote goes to don't
let it dy, now.

There are other providers for free lists like Yahoo.
But the most important thing - and probably a lot of work? - might be
the port of the archive to Yahoo. I don't know if it is possible at all.
So if you as the administrator of the still running list could do this
as your last service, I suppose there will be somebody who keeps the
list running.

Without the archive I suppose a new list don't make any sense.

Yours sincerely

Arno

Re: AOL Listserv to be Discontinued

2011-10-21 Thread Albert Reiner
Hello,

[sun zoom spark szs-accm...@szs.net, Fri, 21 Oct 2011 01:18:18 +0100]:
 What should happen next? Should ACCMAIL just stop? Would somebody
 start a new list to replace it?

 Please give us your opinions and suggestions.

As for me, my preference is for the continued existence of a very low
traffic list, provided the spam can be contained. At any rate the
ACCMAIL FAQ (various language versions) should be updated to reflect
the change; and ideally the list archives should be available somehow.

That is, however, my ideal wish list. But I have to confess that I
have neither the means (FAQ) nor the time and experience (new list,
list archive) to take care of any of these points.

 On 1 November I intend to retire as current ACCMAIL 'owner' and
 moderator. My involvement will terminate with the list itself. I
 have been doing it for more than 9 years, which is probably too long
 anyway.

Thanks a lot for your work for all matters ACCMAIL!

Best regards,

Albert.

A legacy contact address for a replacement ACCMAIL list

2011-10-21 Thread sun zoom spark
Hello accmailers ...

This ACCMAIL list will close in a few days - before
many of our members have an opportunity to read the
bad news.

So I have created an email address for maintaining
contact: accmail-leg...@szs.net

If you wish to subscribe to a future list, or create
a replacement list, or just wish to be kept informed
- please send a message to accmail-leg...@szs.net

Although I do not want to be the owner or moderator
of a replacement list, I would like to ensure that
such a list is possible. I think that will be my
final duty.

WWW by mail o www por correo

2011-04-25 Thread Alexey Leyva
Amigos de la lista he recibido varias respuestas sobre como registrarme
en una web por correo, gracias a todos.Pero aún no he resuelto el
problema.

w...@dommel.be mailto:w...@dommel.be

w...@dommel.be mailto:w...@dommel.be

y otros más que pueden encontrar en los archivos de esta lista

Disculpe por mi ingles pésimo, aquí va un intento de información traducida

Friends of the list I have received several answers be more than enough
like checking in at a Web by mail, thanks to wholes.

But not yet I have resolved the problem,
They are muches that he needs of this service, I propose continuing
looking for topical information, without a doubt it needs a list in
topical Spanish or any form to translate in this the existent contents
for new users of the list may get up to date on everything, I am going
to try to create a list in
LISTSERV@LISTSERV.REDIRIS.ESmailto:lists...@listserv.rediris.es of
international reach, since he seems difficult to me to use her without WWW
On the theme I can say that we must look for the way of with help of
somebody with access to internet mounting a service like the one
belonging to w...@cubisima.com which it seems like no longer works
For the moment I can yield like servants working to discharge WWW by
mail, remember sending the command help for help

Webpage@rumkin.commailto:webp...@rumkin.com
Www@dommel.bemailto:w...@dommel.be
Www@dommel.bemailto:w...@dommel.be
And other ones more than can find in this list's archives
Forgive for my very bad English, an attempt goes from translated
information here

Functioning www4mail server

2011-04-09 Thread Jarandhel Dreamsinger
Just in case anyone was looking for functioning www4mail servers, it seems
that www4mail at wm.ictp.trieste.it is still responding. So far it's the
only public www4mail server I've found that still works.

Anyone know of any others that aren't defunct?

NEWS: Monthly Reminder (March 2011)

2011-03-01 Thread Sun Zoom Spark
= ACCMAIL Monthly Reminder ===

Posted 01 Mar 2011
This message tells you how to use accmail`AT`listserv.aol.com
the mailing list discussing 'Accessing the Internet via Email'.

 1. Purpose
 2. Conventions
 3. The ACCMAIL FAQ: a guide to offline internet access
 4. Usenet
 5. Posting to ACCMAIL: language
 6. Posting to ACCMAIL: subject lines
 7. Posting to ACCMAIL: off-topic
 8. Posting to ACCMAIL: netiquette
 9. Receiving ACCMAIL: digest and single postings
10. ACCMAIL topics
11. ACCMAIL archives and search

==

==
2. CONVENTIONS

In this file, we have replaced the normal email @ character with the
string `AT`. To use any email address, simply replace `AT` with @ to
form a proper email address.

==

The language of the list is international English. Don't worry if
you think your English is not very good -- and don't apologise --
MOST subscribers use English as a foreign or second language.

==
6. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: SUBJECT LINES

Mail should have a meaningful subject heading which reflects the
content of the message -- it helps others to find messages of
interest (and is necessary if you receive a lot of messages per
day), and it helps to follow a thread on a particular topic.

==

==

Re: How to set up an Internet by e-mail Server?

2010-12-10 Thread Jan Wagemakers
2010/12/2  rodol...@cimex.com.cu:

 This is a calling for those who know it, to share the knowledge concerning
 how to setup such a basic service with the minimum effort and time.

I can explain how I have setup the service at w...@dommel.be which is running
on a PC with Debian GNU/Linux. Note that in the current state this is NOT
easy to setup with minimum effort and time :-(

1. Create a Email address for your www2email service :
--

I have create two e-mail adresses:

w...@dommel.be
www2em...@gmx.com

2. On the PC, create a user www, setup fetchmail to send the Emails to user
   www:
---

In my /etc/fetchmailrc I have :

poll pop.gmx.com   proto pop3 user www2em...@gmx.com password
*, is www here fetchall
poll pop.dommel.be proto pop3 user w...@dommel.be password *,
is www here fetchall

3. In /home/www, create the following files :
-

 pts/7  jan ~$ cat /home/www/.forward
| /home/www/mail2queue
 pts/7  jan ~$ cat /home/www/mail2queue
#!/bin/sh
ulimit -u 10
cat -  /home/www/queue/$$.mail
#cat /home/www/queue/$$.mail  /home/www/mail.log
 pts/7  jan ~$

When user www receives an Email, this Email will be forwarded to the script
mail2queue. This script creates a file in /home/www/queue/ with a unique
number. So for every Email, a file in /home/www/queue/ will be created.

4. create a script that scans /home/www/queue/ for files and send the result
   back as an Email

You can find the script that I use at
http://www.janw.dommel.be/tmp/queue2mail;

5. set up a cronjob that runs this script every 5 minutes :
---

I have this in /etc/crontab

# w...@dommel.be bot
*/5 *   * * *   www /home/www/queue2mail 2 /dev/null 1 /dev/null

 Internet by e-mail Service, but just don't know how to do it or do not
 have the time.

 This is a calling for those who know it, to share the knowledge
 concerning how to setup such a basic service with the minimum effort and
 time.

Don't hope for minimum effort and time. When I used accmail (until 2005),
I used my own accmail server, I wrote it myself (in Perl).
It's the mail2ftp server I described on http://mail2ftp.org.ua , it also
has undocumented feature to request webpages in source and text modes.
But I made this feature restricted only to my email addresses,
because else the inevitable abuse would cause destroying the server
by the host operator. I didn't implement any limits besides restricting
email addresses which may request pages.

One of my mail2ftp servers works on a free web-hosting, currently
heliohost.org. Or another free webhosting with cPanel can be used,
a list of them: http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-cpanel-hosting.php
If you register an account on a web-hosting with cPanel,
successfully access cPanel of your account (by accmail methods
or using full Internet access) and describe me how you do that
then I can give you sources of the server I wrote.
But no support, I'll not do the work to set up the server for you,
and I'll not give you detailed instructions. It'll be much work for you
without help.

How to set up an Internet by e-mail Server?

2010-12-03 Thread rodolfom
Dear Accmailers:

I think there must be many people out there interested in set up an
Internet by e-mail Service, but just don't know how to do it or do not
have the time.

This is a calling for those who know it, to share the knowledge
concerning how to setup such a basic service with the minimum effort and

Maybe creating a Linux based package for Ubuntu or other popular distro?

And a Setup also for Windows and publishing it somewhere!

Yours,

==
2. CONVENTIONS

In this file, we have replaced the normal email @ character with the
string `AT`. To use any email address, simply replace `AT` with @ to
form a proper email address.

==

The language of the list is international English. Don't worry if
you think your English is not very good -- and don't apologise --
MOST subscribers use English as a foreign or second language.

Mail should have a meaningful subject heading which reflects the

8. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: NETIQUETTE

* DON'T include the entire contents of a previous posting in your

* DO cut mercilessly. Leave just enough to indicate what you're
  responding to. NEVER include mail headers except maybe the 'From:'

  software, paraphrase or type the quoted text.

* Remember that people with whom you communicate are located across

  response, the person receiving it might be at home asleep when it
  arrives. Give them a chance to wake up, come to work, and login
  before assuming the mail didn't arrive or that they don't care.

* In general, most people who use the Internet don't have time to
  answer general questions about the Internet and its workings.
  Don't send unsolicited mail asking for information to people whose

Not sure if this has ever been discussed or considered as accmail but I

can be converted with optical character recocnition and return to one as

 to have an email are from infomed.sld.cu, and them has block to the Internet

 now,

Don't know if it helps, but, you can try w...@dommel.be

1. what ?
-

You send an E-mail to w...@dommel.be with a command on the SUBJECT line, and
(when the command is regconized) w...@dommel.be will send an E-mail back with
the content of a webpage.

Note that w...@dommel.be will ignore commands that are not correct.

2. available commands :

2.1 help :

SUBJECT : help

- sends this help file to you.
- note : send help also works

2.2 send txt http:// :

FROM: y...@you.mail.com
TO  : w...@dommel.be
SUBJECT : send txt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvius_Brabo

- sends a txt with the content of
  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvius_Brabo; to you.
- note : send txt en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvius_Brabo will not work. You
  need to include http:// in the URL.
- note : send text also work.

2.2 send pdf http:// :

2.3 send zip http:// :

FROM: y...@you.mail.com
TO  : w...@dommel.be
SUBJECT : send zip http://www.janw.dommel.be/nanoblogger/index.html

- sends a zip archive to you with the content from
  http://www.janw.dommel.be/nanoblogger/index.html;. After unpacking you
  can use a normal webbrowser to view the webpage.
- note : send zip www.janw.dommel.be/nanoblogger/index.html will not work.
  You need to include http:// in the URL.
- note : there is a download quota of 5.0M. Don't try to fetch webpages with
  a lot of content.
- you can also use this to get (small) binaries. For example
  send zip http://www.janw.dommel.be/tmp/la'chouffe.jpg

2.4 send tgz http:// :
--

Same as send zip, but will send a tgz (tar.gz) archive.

2.5 send tbz2 http:// :
---

Same as send zip, but will send a tbz2 (tar.bz2) archive.

3. BUGS :
-

Yes ;-)

At the moment, this service is just an ugly bash script. There are a lot of
things to improve...

Hello accmailers ...

Admin access to this list was restored on 23 August.

It had been down for a month, so I was almost convinced
that AOL had closed it.

If you get this message, it is evidence that the list
is working again.

www4mail at szs.net will close at the end of July, and open again in August

2010-07-24 Thread sun zoom spark
Hello accmailers ...

Last month we told you about our interim solution to
the problem of continued abuse of our www4mail server.
We decided we had to deny access to residents of the
Russian Federation and Ukraine. We followed that by
forbidding requests for documents in the .ru and .ua
top level domains.

We acknowledged that this decision was unfair -- but
it has stopped *all* the abuse.

Unfortunately, the deluge of spam and attempts to break
into our server (up to 10,000 per day) has not stopped.
In fact it seems to have increased.

We cannot carry on like this. So this is what is going
to happen ...

* We are going to take down the existing www4mail
  server within the next week.

* We will replace it with a new installation as soon
  as we can, hopefully by mid-August.

* Access to the new www4mail server will be separated
  from the membership of this list. We will be asking
  users to apply personally to be placed on the Access
  Control List.

* Members of this list who have not abused our www4mail
  will all be welcome.

We haven't worked out all the details yet, and we are
willing to consider any suggestions from list members
about how we should handle this.

ACCMAIL RESOLVE

Hi

Sorry for the strange topic title but was not sure what to call it. What
does it mean when a link on a page says javascript:void() and another via
www4m...@szs.net would say imbed, does it mean no text or page not valid or
if there is text is there any way any accmail server can retrieve it?

Thanks.

Changes to the www4mail at szs.net Access Control List

2010-06-28 Thread sun zoom spark
Hello accmailers ...

Here is some good news and some bad news.

1. Good news for everybody first!

Despite persistent abuse of this service, szs.net wishes
to keep www4mail available to as many genuine users as
possible. We have been tempted to close it, but have
decided not to.

2. Bad news for a few!

www4mail at szs.net is maintained by one person (me) who
has very little time, and a rather uncertain financial
future. I don't have the time or resources to combat
abusers in a sophisticated way -- so the action I have
decided to take is direct.

The number of abusers is relatively small, but their
actions are becoming increasingly unpleasant --
including attempts to subvert our www4mail system, and
even to hack into it. Like the vast amount of spam we
receive, 95% of the abusive behaviour comes from one
geographical area, and our list of banned email
addresses is dominated by the same two countries.

So -- with immediate effect, www4mail at szs.net is no
longer available to residents of the Russian Federation
and Ukraine.

Of course, it is not fair. But the alternative is to
close the service to everybody. We hope that this
drastic action will end our problems, and we will review
the situation after four weeks.

3. THE ACCMAIL FAQ: A GUIDE TO OFFLINE INTERNET ACCESS

In August 2003, after many years dedicated service to the ACCMAIL
community, Mr Gerald Boyd retired as maintainer of the ACCMAIL FAQ,

Mail should have a meaningful subject heading which reflects the

-- instead ask how do I find

   page, etc.)

* DON'T include the entire contents of a previous posting in your

* DO cut mercilessly. Leave just enough to indicate what you're
  responding to. NEVER include mail headers except maybe the 'From:'

  software, paraphrase or type the quoted text.

* DON'T SEND A MESSAGE IN ALL CAPS. CAPITALIZED MESSAGES ARE HARDER
  TO READ THAN LOWER CASE OR MIXED CASE.

* DO use normal capitalization. Separate your paragraphs with blank

* DON'T send messages with HTML coding or MIME extensions.

* DO learn how to change your email program so that it sends only

* In general, most people who use the Internet don't have time to
  answer general questions about the Internet and its workings.

Requesting Link From Site

2010-04-25 Thread Chow, Richard
Hi,

I am looking for an answer to a problem. I would request for a website by the
Send command. I get back the website with links associated with numbers in
brackets, like [1] . Years ago, when you replied with the number, it would
return with that link website. I don't know if I am doing it wrong or if it
has changed, but I cannot get it to work.

Has anyone tried to do this lately? If you are successful, can you explain it
to me?

Thanks a lot!

Richard

Hello.

In www4mail help you can read:

If a message is larger than 300 kilobytes (300kb), www4mail will
automatically split it into two or more 300kb files, and send each file as
a separate message. If this is the case, you will need to rebuild the
original file by attaching the single parts in one file only. A suitable
application or command can be used to combine all chunks (on UNIX use:
cat file.1 file.2 file.3 file and on DOS use: copy /b
file.1+file.2+file.3 file).

Some programs do the same work, one of then is 7zip. Other programs have been
documented in this list too.

Greetings

Ramiro Ochoa

to send free faxes to businesses in Israel and wondered if it is still
available or where to find the details if the ACCMAIL FAQ has not yet been
updated.

Thanks.

2. CONVENTIONS

In this file, we have replaced the normal email @ character with the
string `AT`. To use any email address, simply replace `AT` with @ to
form a proper email address.

==

A new version is being prepared.

  send http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/Lab/1131/ua.zip

==
5. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: LANGUAGE

The language of the list is international English. Don't worry if
you think your English is not very good -- and don't apologise --
MOST subscribers use English as a foreign or second language.

==
6. POSTING TO ACCMAIL: SUBJECT LINES

Mail should have a meaningful subject heading which reflects the
content of the message -- it helps others to find messages of
interest (and is necessary if you receive a lot of messages per
day), and it helps to follow a thread on a particular topic.

==

-- instead ask how do I find
   information concerning ??? via email.
 - Windows 95/98/NT/XP problems -- instead ask where do I find
   information regarding a problem (email address, mailing list, web
   page, etc.)

==

List of available www4mail Servers ... others servers with similar services ?

2009-10-01 Thread Zeus P.S.
Hi everybody.

How I can get an updated list - I mean, frequently - with list of
available www4mail Servers?

There are only Www4Mail or exist any kind of Servers with similar
services? (I mean, Browsing using only email.) In this case, how can I
know best servers?

Regards,

Leandro.

Re: Problems with advanced search engine...

2009-09-17 Thread Ramiro Ochoa
For an advanced search in google, you may request:

XFORMREPLY=TEXT
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=es

(hl=es, you get the page in Spanisch, use the language you want)

You can then copy and paste the form in a new mail. Here is an example.

XBASE=http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=es
XFORM=:GET::/search
XFORMREPLY=TEXT
as_q= === ALL words Normal Search
hl=es
ie=ISO-8859-1
num=10 === Number
XSUBMIT_ON=btnG
XSCS=btnG=Buscar con Google
as_epq==== Exact Phrase
as_oq= === ANY word
as_eq= === This words NOT
as_ft=i=== Language (i=ignore)
as_filetype=
as_occt=any

My question was mainly for administrator if he could check what

One solution that come to my mind is to subscribe to this

I would really like to know if I done something bad to
be able to avoid such thing in the future - if this is the

This is often useful for checking whether you can send and/or receive

 txt gives a text-version of the webpage, pdf gives an pdf-attachment.
 I too like experiments in network and with interest has read this massage.
 has sent the test in several variants (and in subject and in body), but -
 no reaction. It is pity. can author elaborate what is it necessary to do?
 thank you.

I have just tested it and indeed it is not working. It seems that at the
moment there is a problem with the proxy-server that I use. I'll try to
figure out a more reliable way.

I'll keep you informed. And hey, thanks for testing! :-)

OK, I have changed some things here, so it should be working again.

TXT :
-

Send a mail to www AT dommel.be with in the subject-line

send txt http://www.some.url/index.html

to receive a webpage in txt-format

PDF :
-

Send a mail to www AT dommel.be with in the subject-line

send pdf http://www.some.url/index.html

to receive a webpage in pdf-format

Some notes :

- putting your text in the body will not work.
- send pdf www.some.url.index.html without the http://-part will not work.
- Spaces are important: send pdfhttp://www.some.url/index.htm; will
  not work.
- BTW, replace http://www.some.url/index.html; with a real webpage ;-)
- if you have done everything right and it still doesn't work, then it is
  probably a problem here. Just send a mail to me and I try to fix it.

Thanks for testing. Have fun! :-)

Re: ACCMAIL Digest - 1 Aug 2009 to 13 Aug 2009 (#2009-26)

2009-08-14 Thread Vlad Ladir
Hello,

I too like experiments in network and with interest has read this massage. has
sent the test in several variants (and in subject and in body), but - no
reaction. It is pity. can author elaborate what is it necessary to do? thank
you.

 A long time ago, I think 1997 -1999, I was subscribed to accmail and I
 was surfing the web by E-mail. At that time I only had E-mail access
 to Internet, so it was great to surf the web by E-mail.

 Now, so many years later, I have full broadband access to the
 Internet, so no more surfing by E-mail for me ;-)

 But, because I like experimenting with computers, I have set up an
 experimental www2email service. I don't know if I keep it up, at the
 moment it is just there for testing purposes.

 Anyway, for those who like to test it :

 Send an E-mail to www AT dommel.be with in the subject-line :

 send txt http://some.webpage.url/index.html

 or

 send pdf http://some.webpage.url/index.html

 txt gives a text-version of the webpage, pdf gives an pdf-attachment.

 Met vriendelijke groetjes- Jan Wagemakers -

Regards - Vlad
