Recently both the DTN drafts related to BPv7 (over which the Node ID validation 
is performed) and the ACME draft for email validation (from which the Node ID 
validation takes its workflow) have progressed to the RFC Editor's queue, which 
is great!

I am updating the DTN Node ID validation from the last email-validation draft 
and including updated concrete examples. Because BPv7 uses CBOR and more easily 
supports bytestring encoding, the updated draft will use base64url encoding on 
ACME side but plain bytestring on the BP side to keep the encoding marginally 
smaller. ACME defines a canonical form so there should be no loss of 
information going either way and a concrete example should make this clear.
