I have the same problem on my Asus A6M notebook. On 2.6.25 kernel it work very
well, but on 2.6.27 and 2.6.28 I cant suspend to ram.

BTW, I also tried updating the BIOS to the latest version and disabling the
enable ACPI 2.0 BIOS option - no luck, the problem persists.
