Update: by manually using ift-load -f /lib/firmware/isight.fw I was able to get
the iSight up and running..

or enter the BIOS setup manual, and set the SATA controller mode to legacy or

IIRC macs don't have a BIOS at all, they use something called EFI which I don't
know much about.
