Hi,
I've tried 2.6.30 and 2.6.31-rc2 and unfortunately the system continues without
booting.
At first glance, it hangs more or less at the same point.

With the patch it no longer oops or hangs up. I applied it to 2.6.30.1 though.
Is it worth checking with 2.6.30? I can unload the module and reload it fine

If you can reproduce the problem in 2.6.30.1, and reverting to the 2.6.29
button driver makes a difference, we can start looking at that driver.
