P.S. I'm currently using nvram-wakeup-1.0 (direct write to CMOS) as an

I've discovered that if I remove the call to cmos_irq_enable from the function
cmos_set_alarm in rtc-cmos.c, then the alarm will work. (This means that

Using powertop I also notice that after this my power consumption shoots sky
