no, i dont have windows.i did reboot from a different kernel,
kernel-tmb-2.3.31-2 which is a mandriva kernel based on 2.6.31, but with some
experimental patches.

They are the same bug.
This one contains a lot of unnecessary information and redundant comments, the
new one is concise.
