Just checked. The kernel version doesn't matter, a decent about of reboots does
the trick to get the touchscreen working even on 4.19.4.

Thanks for the response. I've actually had to return my original (AMD RX 580)
because I was unable to get it working, but I did keep the TB enclosure and
have access to another
