Is there a way to move printers/queues in one Windows 2000 print server to another new Windows 2000 print server without having to recreate them and go to each client PC to set upthe new printer session as well.
Thanks

Installthe new printer usinga logon
script. I don't think you can re-route things that are already in the
print queue.

You can use Microsoft Print Migrator to move the queues to
a new server. http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/technologies/fileandprint/print/download.asp
Then just use rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry in your
login scripts to move them to a new print server. You can do rundll32

There are no encrypted FTP servers per se. You can do one of two things,
however.
First, use IPSec tunnels between client and server, but that can get tricky.
Second, use FTP over ssh, which works really well, and there are specific
clients for doing it.
I assume you have reasons for not using
a VPN or https or web dav. Google for ftps, ftp-ssl and ftp-tls to
see some options.

Bryan,
We prefer a VPN also, but one of our clients wanted to use GnuPG instead.
This is an open source encryption tool and is easily scripted.
We used vbscript to encapsulate the encryption and ftp processes and WinPT
to manage the keys.
